Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name, case number, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Bibb County Court Docket does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email or submit a message to us, we retain it as needed to respond. We keep that correspondence within our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical and usage details as pages are requested. That information may include:
- the device IP address;
- browser name and version;
- operating system and device category;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring website, when available;
- the date and time of each request.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand aggregate traffic, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the website function.
What We Do With This Data
Information collected through the website may be used for these purposes:
- routing a search request to the selected partner;
- maintaining site availability, speed, and security;
- finding and correcting technical faults;
- understanding which reference pages are useful;
- displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
No Court-Record Data on File
Bibb County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of official dockets or personal case records. It provides general directions to the Bibb County Circuit Clerk, Alabama Circuit and District Courts, municipal clerks, Probate Office, and authorized state search resources. Official Case Action Summaries, civil dockets, pleadings, and orders remain with their custodians. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate search boxes that may appear on the website. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern the information entered there. We do not set their retention, processing, or disclosure practices. Review the applicable partner policy before submitting names, case numbers, or other information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Bibb County Circuit Clerk, Alabama court portals, legal-aid resources, or outside search providers. Once you follow a link, the destination’s privacy terms control that visit. Consider those terms before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may also use their own systems to follow activity across websites and select ads. We do not operate that cross-site tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be available to:
- analytics vendors that measure site use and performance;
- search providers that process a query you submit;
- advertising networks that place ads on the website;
- government or law-enforcement authorities when disclosure is compelled by valid legal process.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information within our control. No internet service can promise perfect security, however. We work to protect the data we handle but cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or another breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person younger than 18. If we learn that a minor submitted such information, we will remove it promptly after receiving a request.
Your Data Rights
Rights concerning personal information vary by residence and applicable privacy or consumer-protection law. You may ask us to:
- provide a copy of personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete information we maintain, where applicable;
- stop certain processing when an opt-out right applies.
For clarity, Ala. Code § 36-12-40 governs access to Alabama public writings rather than private visitor data. Court-record inspection and copies are further addressed by Alabama Rule of Judicial Administration 30 and electronic AOC access by Rule 33. Requests for official Bibb County case information must go to the Bibb County Circuit Clerk or other court custodian, not through a privacy request to this website.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. A replacement policy becomes available on this page and carries a revised effective date, so visitors should review it periodically.
Effective date: August 13, 2026
